    Ovarian cancer is known as the silent killer. It often goes undiagnosed until it is in the late stages of the disease, due to vague symptoms or inconclusive testing. The American Cancer Societiy estimated that there would be 21,990 new cases and 15,460 deaths in the United States in 2011.

Ovarian Cancer Symptoms
Abdominal pressure, bloating, or discomfort
Nausea, gas, or indigestion that can’t otherwise be explained
A feeling of fullness, even after a light meal
Shortness of breath
Unusual fatigue or tiredness
Urinary frequency, constipation, or diarrhea
Unexplained weight loss or gain
Pain during intercourse
Change in menstrual flow
Back or leg pain

    These symptoms tend to be vague and non-specific. They can mimic other health conditions, but often the symptoms are there and can be recognized if you are aware of what to look for.
